June Burning
As we begin to settle into a summer of unusual activities during a pandemic, we learn of a troubling death that causes exploding riots across the US. George Floyd was a suspect in allegedly passing a counterfeit bill in Minneapolis, MN. After being held down by police for almost 9 minutes, he died and the incident was filmed by onlookers. Sequestered for months, citizens pour out of their homes in an outrage against police brutality. Cities across the US are burned, police stations are "stormed," and a general lawlessness is unleashed.
